The Ultimate Guide on How to Create a Stylish Autumn Outfit

Sometimes, creating a stylish autumn outfit can be a challenge. Whether you have a well-stocked closet or take a more pared-down approach to dressing, we all occasionally get stuck with the fashion inspiration. The truth is that building the perfect autumn looks has less to do with having the right items. It is more to do with knowing how to style them together. We all have stuff sitting in our cluttered wardrobes right this second that can be worn in dozens of unexpectedly stylish variations – all we’re missing is a small dose of inspiration.

Recently, I researched a lot of fashion websites: online magazines, high-end and high street fashion blogs. I came to the conclusion that autumnal looks are, actually, very easy to create. And they are the most stylish.

Restyle Your Clothes

Every summer I look at my wardrobe and think of going shopping. But really, you don’t need to update the wardrobe a lot and – even more importantly – always use things you might already have in the depths of your closet. Reusing the items from the different seasons might be a great idea. As I mentioned earlier, you don’t have to invest in new pieces every new season. You just need to get creative with what you already have in your closet. For instance, I really like the hot dress over T-shirt trend. This new fashion trend gives you an option to combine two summer pieces into a stylish autumn outfit to make it warmer.  I bet everyone has a plain t-shirt and a spaghetti strap dress in their collection!

Another way of re-using the summer piece would be to wear sandals with wool socks. I know a couple of years ago you would not be able to think of anything worse than doing this. But, apparently, it is extremely trending this Autumn/Winter. Considering the amount of sandals I have, it makes a lot of sense to try out this fashion trend.

In the outfit I have styled for this blog post, I am wearing a metallic camisole top. This is a summer piece or a piece that is meant to be worn to the party. Worn with the warm thick oversized coat, it gives me the option to avoid spending extra money on a new knitwear. Of course, we all have a jumper in the wardrobe. But why not trying to get an extra trendy autumnal look by wearing glitzy top during the day time?

Rock the Velvet Trend this Autumn

Autumn/Winter 2016’s top-line fashion trends may be wildly different from each other, but they’re all supercharged with one major element—creative electricity. Velvet is big news for the coming Autumn/Winter season, although many of the stars are already one step ahead – the trend has already permeated the wardrobes of the celebrity set, proving to be a red-carpet favourite throughout the summer months and into the early autumn.

You have to try! My Instagram feed is overfilled with velvet at the moment, but I don’t complain. In my opinion, velvet is one of the best fashion trends for the past couple of seasons. What can possibly look more sophisticated than a soft glowing material? There are a lot of variations on how to wear velvet trend this autumn. Choose anything from a scrunchy, velvet bomber, camisole dress or velvet boots. The best part is – your outfit will turn into extremely stylish look within a second once you add a bit of velvet to it. If you are not feeling brave, why not to try a velvet choker? It won’t be too overwhelming but will bring a bit of a spin to the look.

Finding The Most Flattering Coat

A great coat is an essential element of your style in cold weather and it’s one of the most important buying decisions you will make this season. A good coat can truly elevate your style. It can set your style mood or even pull your look together on a day that you don’t really feel like dressing up so much. A good coat will make an entrance and leave an impression. Plus, you will wear it many times over the season. Enough good reasons to buy a really good one!

Don’t blend into the crowd. Choose an outwear that reflects your style and your personality. If you desire a fur coat then invest in one. If it’s a fleece or rain coat that suits your lifestyle then get one. Bold coloured statement coats whether they be orange, green or teal will look fantastic especially worn over a suit and will brighten up any boring business outfit. Moreover, clever use of colour can work wonders when trying to change the appearance of your body shape or complexion. For example, being apple-shaped you should stay away from wearing one colour all over. This silhouette will help to balance the shoulders-hips disproportion. So whatever colours you like whether they are red, olive, cream or even yellow why not add a bit of that colour where ever you go why make your coat the feature of your stylish autumn outfit outfit?

Choose a Right Coat Model for You

Women with a triangular/masculine body shape should try sleeveless vests. Wear a dark maxi coat if you desire to elongate your silhouette no matter what body shape you have. Knit look coat (like the one I am wearing) compliments all body shapes including petite. The choice is yours.

Great look. Love the metallic top. To me, Fall often is about layering, so I take a lot of summer pieces and add accessories or add a jack and boots. I love that tee under dress look. It’s so fun. In cooler weather, I like it over turtlenecks. Thanks for sharing all those great tips!

As long as a great coat is involved, looking chic and fashionable in the fall/winter seasons is a breeze! Just throw on that coat, some boots and a fun lipstick, and you’re all set! I do love that velvet is becoming trendy again. The rich texture and color is perfect for this time of time.
