Hi guys, today I’d like to share with you my experience of The Body Shop SPA of the World range! The SPA of the World body care collection is inspired by traditional beauty rituals across the globe. If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I love to travel and take walks in parks, I get a lot of inspiration from the nature. When I first heard about SPA of the World, I got very excited and couldn’t wait try it. The collection consists of the beauty products for relaxation, revitalising and to feel blissful.
I really enjoyed trying the Egyptian milk & honey bath powder. This bath powder is created with inspiration from Cleopatra’s milk and honey bathes. It made me relax and switch off in seconds. It’s soft and sweet scent will make you feel tranquil and calm. Milk & honey bath is designed to give you an overall body and mental relaxation as well as leave your skin feeling very soft and nourished. Pour 5 scoops under running water and swirl until dissolved.
Charcoal powder is an ancient Asian beauty secret proven to draw out impurities from the skin, up to thousands of times its own mass. It has traditionally been used to draw out tensions from the mind too, de-stressing and calming. Spread a thin layer onto skin, focusing on dull and tired-looking skin. Let the body mask dry and act for 10 minutes then rinse away. I recommend to use Himalayan charcoal body clay after a hot bath or shower and body scrub. In this case it will give you the best result, because the top layer of the dead/dry skin will be already removed and charcoal will be able to act deeper in your skin. The Body Shop designed a special body mask brush to apply a body clay. I decided not to spend extra money on this product, even though it looks amazing. In my case, I use one of my old face powder/blush make-up brushes.
*also, if you don’t want to spend money on body scrub, I recommend to use one of my DIY body scrub recipes: plain yogurt + coffee or salt + olive oil and a couple of drops of your favourite essential oil. Let me know in the comments below, if you have some DIY home SPA ideas. I’d love to try!
For centuries, lemongrass has been cherished in traditional Thai massage for it’s revitalising effect on body and mind. Its invigorating scent is known to boost vitality, awaken senses and release energy blocks.Focusing on pressure points, massage onto skin to help invigorate body and mind. I first heart about lemongrass in 2005 when I travelled to Thailand. Since then, lemongrass is my favourite scent. I also like to drink lemongrass tea and eat lemongrass sorbet. It’s very refreshing! I recommend to take some of this oil with you to work or university in a small pot. If you feel tired, just apple a drop of the oil on your wrist and you will immediately feel much better.
I like to indulge myself with a pampering sessions on Sunday. I try to spend this time in silence – set up the candles, prepare a bath with salt or aromatic powder, switch off all thoughts and just relax. What can be better than a couple of hours just for yourself and your body? That’s why collections like SPA of the World by The Body Shop are a very good idea for me.
I truly believe, that every person can find something for themselves in this spa collection. You can always stick to a very common way to treat yourself – body scrub or body lotion. Or you can get creative and brave – try Body Clay or Wooden Massager (* I really want this one!).
Recently, I reviewed Fuji bath salt tea on my blog and felt very excited to share with you some more of my favourite pampering products. I hope you enjoyed this small SPA of the World review too!
