Summer Festival Style Ideas

Summer Festival Style Ideas 2016

Hi girls, I hope you are all well, let’s talk about summer festival style ideas today?! Believe it or not, but it’s being years since I’ve attended my last music festival. (I’m such a granny). In my head, though, I’m rocking a festival every season. I really hope to go to a festival this year, because I’m all set. I’ve got a playlist of my favourite songs on Spotify and I even have the outfit ready. But… Where do I get some spare time for this? Whilst my life is still boring, I thought I would share some cool festival ideas for this summer with my more social girls. So that you can master a music festival fashion this summer!

Festival Style Backpack

A backpack is not only a highly trending fashion piece in summer 2016, but it’s also a very useful thing for a music festival. When you are packing for a festival think about all the necessary things you need to take: tissues, bottle of water, make-up bag, spare t-shirt, underwear, spare battery for your phone and all the things listed below. Will you be able to fit all of these in your very trendy mini cross-body handbag? I guess no. So make yourself a favour and take a backpack with you.

Bandana or a Scarf

Bandana is a Thing! Bandana or any other silk scarf is an essential for a festival. First of all you can wear it as an accessory – tie it around your neck, wear as a hair or wrist accessory or even tie it on your backpack. This little accessory will not only show that you are a very stylish girl. It also will save your life when you need to cover your head from the hit. It might be a good idea to take a bigger silk or cotton scarf with you as it could make a good cover when you sleep.

Sundresses or Denim Shorts

First of all, sundresses are one of the hottest trends of summer 2016. Secondly, they are very stylish, comfortable and easy to wear. Think ethno pattern, leather boots, backpack + layers and layers of accessories. Sounds good? If you are not into dresses trend, why not to wear your favourite pair of denim shorts with a comfortable tank top? This combination is almost a go-to in festival style list.

Think layering accessories

You might have noticed that girls often wear a lot of accessories during the festival. Music festivals are the best place to express yourself, be brave and a little roofless. I recommend to wearing as many necklaces and bangles as you can literally find. The best selection of bohemian and marine-like accessories can be found in Esprit and Topshop this summer.

Stick to comfortable trusted footwear

This is very important. Please take a very comfortable pair of shoes to a music festival. Ideally you need to wear your old boots or sandals that had already adjusted to your feel and got a little softer. The last thing you want to face is a zillion of blisters on your feet, because you’ve decided to wear very new and very trendy suede lace-up sandals. No heels allowed!

I hope you liked this selection of style tips for a music festival and have found it useful.

I’m totally with you about not making it to a music festival in years. 🙁 I’m split on whether I truly want to go again or not. But I definitely don’t mind rocking out with festival style.

Biggest takeaway for me here is the layering of accessories!
I used to do this ALL the time when I was a teen, but then as I entered my 20s I started doing the minimal thing a lot more. It’s so true about it though: the more necklaces/bracelets the merrier! Also, choosing comfortable shoes applies across the board for me lol.

    Also key: wide brim hats!!

Yeah I don’t know how some of those women wear heels around festivals with all that grass and walking. It’s totally doable to be fashionable and comfortable.

I just went to BFD yesterday, and it was amazing! Definitely agree on the comfortable footwear, I was about to wear sandals, but I’m so glad I brought Vans instead. I’d also suggest bringing layers – it was so hot in the day, then at night, cooled down quickly.
