Hi guys, I’m finally back with my traditional weekly outfits and would like to share with you my khaki top inspired look. Today I wanted to talk to you about your favourite colours and what do they mean to you? I’m kind of a person who always has a favourite colour. Once I love the colour, I start to see it everywhere: in books, magazines, food stores, make-up stores, architecture, nature etc. It seems that my eyes start to pick the colour automatically and just ignore all the different colours apart from The One. Do you find this happens to you?
I used to learn a theory of colours back to days when I studied personal style and make-up in Ukraine. Even thought it was more then 10 years ago, I still remember a theory of colour wheel – relationships between primary colours, secondary colours, tertiary colours etc. When you start to create the outfit it always useful to pick one main colour for the day and add similar coloured accessories and details to it. This way, your outfit will always look harmonic and balanced. I also find well structured in terms of colour looks more elegant and sophisticated.
Today’s outfit was based on colours from my H&M khaki top: purple, pink, burgundy and navy. I decided that light purple trousers and burgundy shoes were a perfect fit for this top. Even though the outfit was already vivid, I wanted to brighten it up by adding an orange clutch. Orange leather helps the clutch to stand out without overbearing the rest of the outfit.
