Everyone’s heard this self-help platitude: We need to #love ourselves before we can love anyone else. But do you know how to #loveyourself?
ACCEPT YOURSELF TODAY.
Unfortunately, many of us will not love ourselves until we lose the weight, or get the job, or get the raise, or the boyfriend, or whatever. We often put conditions on our love. But there are so many things you can love yourself.
HAVE FUN BY YOURSELF.
It’s always good to have a few days set by for yourself, that is just for you to do something fun. In doing this you can learn to enjoy your own company, and most likely feel more #confident doing it on your own. This could be, going to the cinema, going on a date with yourself or finding new things to try.
Try things out of your control, and say yes to things you would not normally #sayyes to. This will also help you with getting to know yourself. You may find out that you enjoy things you never realised or tried before. Try and get out of your comfort zone and see what happens (it will most likely be positive!).
GIVE YOURSELF A BREAK.
We can be hard on ourselves sometimes, it’s natural, but you need to give yourself a break from time to time. No one is perfect, and you can’t expect yourself to be so. Certain things happen but you need to accept them and not be too hard on yourself.
MAKE A LIST OF ACCOMPLISHMENTS.
Creating a list of what you have achieved is a great way to fall in love with yourself. This makes you feel good about yourself, and find happiness from what you have accomplished. We can sometimes focus on the negatives and forget about the positives, so this is a great way to remind yourself of what you have achieved.
When people start to love themselves more each day, it’s amazing how their lives get better. They #feelbetter. They get the jobs they want. They have the money they need. Their relationships either improve, or the negative ones dissolve and new ones begin. Isn’t it a good enough reason to try?
