Summer felt like it would never end. However, Autumn is finally here with a set of amazing fashion trends bringing back some elements from the eighties, some elements from the British heritage, and a number of modern elements all combined together. New fashion trends for Autumn 2018 include new ways to wear your jackets and coats (which can, of course, suit everyone on any budget), along with a number of popular prints and colours.
To introduce you to the must-try fashion trends this Autumn, I have compiled a comprehensive list below.
WEAR EXTRA COATS
Wearing a single coat is now considered old fashion. Recently, wearing extra layers of coats on top of a coat is not only considered very classy but also allows one to pull off a tough hipster look. However, many people may not be comfortable with wearing 8 layers of coats due to the bulk. Although, you can certainly wear two coats on top of each other. Do make sure that the colours contrast well with each other. For instance, a light blue jacket will go really well on a white or beige coat.
GET ANIMAL PRINTS
Well, guess what? Animal prints are back in fashion. So in case you still have your leopard printed jackets or dresses stashed somewhere in your closet, get it all out for a wash. This season, we saw a growing number of models wearing prints such as cheetah, python, zebra, crocodile, and much more in catwalk shows. At the same time, these models were seen carrying plastic snakes and baby dragons as accessories. That could for sure, make you look really trendy.
NEW NEON DRESSES
With watermelon, lime, and lemon themed neons in the market, neon dresses are going to be a thing this season. They have been exhibited on a number of catwalk fashion shows all across the world. While these may not be everyone’s taste, they are surely worth a try. These dresses will look the best along as a combination along with outfits such as grey, beige, black, or navy blue.
NATTY CARDIGANS ARE A THING
Natty Cardigans are back, from the cold. Recently, a number of cardigan styles were seen at Erdem, Miu Miu, and Roksanda. A brightly textured cardigan in the day with one arm length pulled off the shoulder and belted around the waist will give off a very trendy look. For evening and night, consider going for a darker texture.
BROWN IS IN FASHION
The brown colour is getting just as popular as black in the world of fashion. A combination of various shades of brown can add a great amount of elegance and class to your style. For instance, consider mixing a chocolate coloured shirt, a peanut satin coat with tweed trousers. This will be a bad combination! Since such outfits have been observed at fashion shows, brown is indeed going to be very trendy this season. Now it is up to you to find a hue that suits your taste. Going for a top to the effect will be the most suitable in case you have any doubts about your taste.
