Hi guys, today on how to style I am going to be showing you how to create a bomb red leather skirt outfit. Sometimes leather skirts can get a little tricky if you are not sure how to wear them. I feel that being confident is the best tool to rock any leather item, but there are style tips and tricks too. Here is a simple yet sexy look using leather.
How do I style a red leather skirt?
So for this week’s look, I wanted to give you an insight to leather. Sometimes I find women can be put off by leather as it can overpower an outfit, if not done correctly. In this look, I have chosen to style a red leather pencil skirt from Zara. Many of you might have seen them at the shops in different colours this spring. And yes, ladies, that right I chose the colour red. Not a usual colour for leather, however, this season’s trend is to combine leather with bright bold colours. There will be a lot of yellows, oranges and reds on a high street this spring/summer.
To allow this skirt to wow an audience without going overboard the trick is to keep the rest of your outfit pretty simple and plain. So I chose to go with a simple black V-neck t-shirt and black suede jacket. As they are both black this allows the skirt’s colour to pop out and stand out.
I chose to wear a simple yet stylish black court heel. I was always impressed by sexy women gracefully wearing high-waisted pencil skirts with high heeled shoes. I thought I would give it a go. I love these shoes and leather purse for their simplicity. Simple is the key when matching a colour with leather.
Why did I style this red leather skirt this way?
As I said when creating an outfit with leather is that you have to be careful not to ‘over-do’ the look. This is why I stuck to two colours only and kept t very simple when picking accessories.
How else to style a red leather skirt?
I would always suggest to keeping the idea of two colours only when wearing a bold colour in leather why not try wearing a white or a grey shade instead of the black.
QUESTION OF THE DAY:
