Floral Midi Dress

Hello all, today on How to style I wanted to bring to into the Spring/Summer2016 fashion trends with this stunning floral midi dress outfit.

How do you Style a Midi Dress Outfit?

Midi dresses can be styled in many different ways. All depending on the type of look and style you are going for. This could be a fabulous evening look of a stunningly simple day outfit. The later of these two ideas is what I have to go with for this week’s How to style.

how to style midi dress outfit

I recently came across this beautiful floral midi dress in Zara. When I saw it I knew I just had to buy it! This dress is simply breath-taking it is white in colour and has beautiful pastel colour flowers on the print. This dress is long sleeved and is tapered at the wrist add waist allowing for a stunning silhouette.

To keep this outfit a little more low-key decided to go with a chunky suede boot these ones are from River Island. These boots are great for going out in the day as they are super comfy and will allow me to be on my feet all day without my feet giving me pain.

As we are transitioning between spring and summer I felt the need to have a little jacket which I found this stunning green light weight jacket for breezy evenings. (* you never know when it’s gonna be windy in London) This jacket keeps the look street style and pulls the outfit together. This elongated jacket is great in all-weather types.

To finish off this look I went for the Boy Chanel bag in brown. A girl can never go wrong with a classic Chanel bag.

Why did I style the Midi Dress Outfit in this way?

I wanted to create a beautiful dress down every day look, keeping the colour tones natural allowed me to create such a look whilst still feeling like I’m dressed up! Ideal for all you fashionistas out there, who want to keep that classic style whilst making your lives supper easy.

What else could I style this Midi Dress Outfit with?

If you want to create more of a dressed up look with this midi dress, simply add a pair of khaki sandals like these from Topshop and a gold necklace and bangle to dress this look from day to night!

QUESTION OF THE DAY:

I love this styling. That shirt gives it a bit of military edge which is a twist I’ve never thought of doing before but would love to soon!

I always feel like midi dresses look horrible on me. But I also think I am pretty bad at styling them. Totally going to use some of these tips, thank you!!

Hi Emily, i’m sure you are not horrible in styling them. Don’t say so about yourself. I’m sure you are gorgeous x

You look absolutely lovely with the midi dress. I personally don’t like midi dress or skirt because I find them to make my legs look stumpy so I either wear maxi or mini.

I personally like maxi dresses more than midi simply because I feel like midi lengths look unflattering on me. I love the jacket you paired with the floral dress!!

Goodness, that dress is so beautiful! I remember seeing it as well in the store, but I fallen in lovve with the sandals I wore in my latest post, so I had to take those instead.
In any case, it looks so feminine and romantic 😀
